C-Body experts - Are 74 Newport, New Yorker, and Imperial the same roof line?
 

My brother has a 74 Newport, and we recently took the vinyl top off, and its rusted out, so he is now looking for a roof.

Does anyone know, are the 2 door Newport, New Yorker, and Imperial as well as the Monoco and Polara for 74 the same roof line? could you swap between these cars?

Please let me know.

Yes, i am very aware of that fact, but my question is, if i found one of these other cars, could you swap the roof between them, are they the same roof line?

From a quick google search, the New Yorker, New port are the same roof lines, then i found that the imperial and monaco's have the same lines aswell but also have two different style coupe roof lines, one with a side window behind the main sidewindow in the large pillar coming down and one without. i was un able to find any pictures of a 1974 polara though.
id say its a safe bet to be able to use a new yorker, newport, imperial, or monaco (correct body style though) roof on your brothers newport.

Sorry to say but I do not think the Newport/NY'r/Imperial (Chrysler) roof lines will match up with the Polara/Monaco (Dodge) roof lines (4dr or 2dr). These are two distinct body styles and I don't think they directly interchange.
