Heater core for 1970 & 1973 Dodge Monaco?
Hi all.
My friend and i both drive Monacos, his is a 1970, mine a 1973, both 2 door HTs w/0 factory AC.
Lovely cars, both they share a problem; a leaking heater core.
Now we've been looking around for two new cores, but can't seem to find them anywhere on the web.
Though, we found a heater core on the web http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/more...477&cc=1233302
that fits a 1971 - 1978 Plymouth Fury, non A/C. My logic tells me it should be the same, since a lot of parts interchange between makes and models in the Mopar family...
Is it the same heater unit on all 1970 - 197? C-bodies?
Can somebody tell, which core will fit?
Regards,

Hi TVLynn,
Thanks for your suggestion, but we chose to get 'em refurbished at a radiator company nearby. They change the core part and retain the original tanks and tubes.
Apparently, cores for Monaco's aren't avaliable on the aftermarket, as so many other parts for C-bodies...
Guess that's the price one's gotta pay for driving in something else than Mustangs and Camaros!
