Out with the old - In with the new!

I'm putting a 5.2L from a 97 Dodge Ram into my 72 Fury III. Rather than get the ECM from the Ram (being vehicle-specific, controls everything), I've been told that I can get an aftermarket ECM to control just the engine (being engine-specific).

Where's a good place online to get the ECM?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well to be clear, there is no Megasquirt, Holley, FAST, or "other" system which you can "plug in" and "drive it." Only the factory module will give you that.

Megasquirt will probably require the most "do it yourself"

ANY of the aftermarket stuff will require programming. Some of this just requires "paying attention." Most of these systems have some form of "self learning." My understanding of the Megasquirt "stuff" is that you have to buy the optional sofware for ?50? bucks so that 's not exactly a deal breaker.

The problem with Megasquirt "in general" is there's a lot of extra DIY stuff that can "get" you. So far as I know, you'll have to add about another 200 for wideband O2.

Not trying to discourage you at all.

BUT .....there ARE places that can reflash OEM ECU (Mopar) and make it "just like factory" for lack of better.

OR !!! You Could just go with a Mopar performance ECU and a SCT reflash.... What do you think DD?
