hello guys i just bought new converter brand boos hog night stall from 2200 to 2800 for street/strip replacing my stock converter my question does this will work fine with cam rpm range 1800 to 6000

Damn well better, since I've been using a 3K stall for about 30 something years.

OK, there's more to it than that, like vehicle weight, rear gearing, and cam/engine power band.

My engine components "kick in" around 2800 - 3000 rpm and on a launch, the 3K stall works well. The flip side is that for daily street or show driving, you do feel the converter spooling up to transfer the rpm, making the car feel a little sluggish.

The other way of looking at it, is the stall has to be high enough to let the engine spin, so you aren't fighting the engine with the break at a stop light.

There are guys here who can give you a more detailed explanation, so that was just an over view.

Figuring out what the engines real power band would is be the first step, and it ain't gonna be 1800 - 6000 rpm. If it is, I want that cam!!!

Thanks for coments my engine 440 bore size 40 rb year 78 with new aluminum stealth heads with rpm performance dual palne intake edlbrock rpm range 1500 to 6500 with flat tappet speed pro pistons compression 9.8.1 with holly hp 850 cfm ultra and gear ratio 3.55 now i am looking for new cam shaft with hydraulic roller rockers i am wondring how much horse power will it give
