H-Code Challenger?

Hey everyone, I was on ebay motors not long ago and I was looking at a '73 challenger. The owner had a pic of the car that showed 2 fender tags, one was perfectly normal but the other said "special handling" on it and the owner said it was refferred to as an "h code" car. I was considering purchasing the car and I was wondering if anyone has any idea what "special handling" means? Hopefully this is not some dumb question that I should know the answer to. Any tips on this would be appreciated. Thanks.

The "H" code refers to the motor being a 340. The "Special Handling" could mean it's a ralley 340, I don't recall f the Ralley was classed as special handling. The numbers off the fender tags would provide much more info.

Special Handling mean just what it says...Special Handling. Most executive leases were special handling, Show cars were special handling. Some cars were flagged for special handling because of overly critical dealers. System try out vehicles were special handling. Police and Taxi units were special handling. Most special handling cars went to a section of the plant after they were built and this section was called "New Car Service". The cars were looked at very closely and prepped prior to shipping.

Bottom line is special handling meant just that. They were to be looked at a little bit closer during the build process and after they were built.

the car I was asking about has been relisted on ebay. the fender tag reads:

V1X U A57 B41 C16 C56
