PCV Valve Connection to Carb
 

Hey gang,

I'm going to connect a PCV valve to my carb to complete the valve cover set up. It's a 6 pack on a 440. I'm uncertain as to which port I can use to connect the PCV though. I think I can and should use the only port that is visible in this photo at the top of the carb. I can't find any information on it any where else. Can anyone lend some advice? Thanks.

So right now the power brakes' hose is connected to that port as you can see. I've seen a configuration with the PCV connected to this port as you both have indicated. The top port I was thinking about looks like it can be used for the breather hose.

Can I get away with having a breather cap on one valve cover, and a valve cap with a hose attachment going to the carb? OR
Breather on one side, and PCV to carb? What do I do with the power brake hose afterwards?

Also, any photos of your set ups from the valve cover to carb connections?

PCV and breather should always be on opposite valve covers. Kinda defeats the purpose otherwise.

Kinda easy to figure out out full manifold vac. Find a large bore port, start the engine and feel for suction. If you feel any, odds are you're good to go. An open vac post should cause a rise in rpm. Just remember, the port can be on the carb OR the manifold.
