Restoration questions - a very different charger
Hi folks
I am getting my old Australian Charger "A" body coupe back on the road and I need to know some details on bolts. I would think that they were built the same way in Australia as they were in the states - at least, generally on the production line. Our a body is sort of a mix between US A body and some E body features so, here goes:
Should body bolts be painted? eg. radiator bolts, rear axle bump rubber bolts (up in the rear wheel arch), lower fender bolts, spring shackle bolts?
These are all black phosphate & oil finish as far as I know but would they have been painted during assembly?
Also, should door striker pin/bolt be painted body colour or just left bare metal?
Any help much appreciated.

Some of the core (radiator) support bolts are likely to be painted, the door strikers are zinc plated (galvanized). Lower fender bolts are usually painted body color. Shackle bolts and such are black phosphate.
