running car with no booster

So as I continue with the resto of my vehicle I am going back to the underlying issues I keep avoiding. my rear drum brakes. I have replaced the whole drum assembly, replaced brake booster and even got a wilwood proportioning valve. rear brakes still lock up as I am driving and pedal gets stuck to the floor and I have to manually bring it back up with my foot. I have bled the brakes correctly adjusted the booster needle. next step is just removing the brake booster and running just the master cylinder. seeing if any of you are doing this and how it feels.

what kind of brakes on the front? Did you upgrade the rear brakes? You might want to check for a collapsing rear brake hose to the axle housing on the release of the pedal.

Disc brakes in the fro t and drums in the back. No collapsed line. Never did this before car was just sitting for about 15 years. Working fine before went into storage according to my dad.

May be a broken return spring in the vacuum booster. You may also wish to check the upper bushings in the pedal pivot for wear/binding.

Unbolt the pushrod and test the pedal.

Unbolt the master cylinder and test the pedal, etc.
