Tire size

I just picked up a 72 cuda. Its my first E body car so bare with me. Can I fit a 17x9.5 rim on the rear & what tire size would you suggest on stock frame? Its 5.5 in back spacing

can't help you on 17" tire sizes but someone here might be able to help you.
