Occasional Shaking in the steering

Hi all,

Another question for you experts. I have a 77 Aspen Wagon Base Super 6 with 56k
When driving down the road my aspen glides smoothly but on occasion it will feel wobbly/shimmery. I can feel it in the steering wheel and in the whole car, almost as if the car has a low tire or flat tire but more of a quickness to the shake. Then if I get to a stop light and take off again it disappears. Weird. Today I drove it for about 15 miles and nothing at all.

Thanks all

Wes

I would start by making sure the bolts for the sub frame are tight, check the steering box mounting bolts.

Good advice, look at your wheel bearings too.
