1959 D100 Window Replacement
New member here, excited to be a part of the forum.
I have a 1959 D200 with a cracked passenger side window and can't, for the life of me, find a single resource about how to get ahold of a replacement window. Any advice would be much appreciated! http://i39.tinypic.com/2znwkf5.jpg |

Welcome!
1959 would actually be classified as a part of the C series truck line that Dodge produced. the D series started in 1961. |

Everything I've found suggests that it is a D-series, and I've found numerous forums and website with 57, 58, and 59 "D" trucks listed. Are they wrong? Do you have a site that has some info on the model breakdowns? http://www.pickuptrucks.com/html/history/segment8.html http://www.ebay.com/itm/1959-Dodge-T...-/400412220520 http://www.allpar.com/model/ram/ram-trucks-C.html http://www.dodgeclassictrucks.com/truckidentity.html "All '57 through '60 trucks used the D + 3 number system" |
On closer inspection.....it does have the '200' emblem on the side, might be a W 200? It's pretty much exactly like this:

Try Desert Valley Auto Parts.... http://www.dvap.com/ or Some other sources to try.. http://www.hemmings.com/parts/search...sort=year_desc :) |
I've seen the 1st and 3rd links and read them as being C series. Only way to really tell is to run the VIN I would imagine.
I remember reading online that Dodge did give out a lot of similar classifications for various trucks so it could very well be as simple as miscommunication. Also, Dodge produced regular trucks and "power wagon" trucks at the same time and they were classified differently yet they look similar. It appears to me that your truck would be a regular truck and the truck in the last link that you posted is a "power wagon". That is just my opinion though. If I am wrong, I am sorry. Either way, your truck still looks awesome to me. I'd love to build that body style dodge truck into a rat rod. |
i think that window is flat. years ago some glass shops had flat glass that they could cut to size. check that out.
