1951 Plymouth Cranbrook. i need some ideas

Hi I have a 1951 Plymouth cranbrook I bought last year for $500. The problem I'm having is when I cruise anound 40mph it will start acting like it is out of gas and sometimes stall out and ill have to pull over and let sit there and run for a couple mins. I have had the carb rebuilt and put a new fuel pump on it to. I also have done new plugs, wires and coil. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this? Thanks

I'm kinda thinking about trying to a new fuel pump to see if that does anything. If that doesn't work then I don't know what else to do. Does anyone have any ideas of what might be causing it to act like its out of gas?

Float level in the carb too low perhaps?

what did you find out?

Did you get it to work?
some ideas.

If it set for 10 years you might want to drain the gas tank. would suggest siphon instead of unscrewing the drain plug. once it starts leaking....

put in a carb kit if you haven't. They are cheap and easy. Get one from Oreilly, Napa, etc. follow the instructions to a T.

It may not be gas at all. Mine had an old brittle wire that shorted in the distributor when it got warm.

I ended up dropping the gas tank and having it cleaned out and sealed. The car runs great now and has no more issues
