Where to purchase parts for vintage cars?
Hi, I'm new to the forum. I have a 1950 Plymouth Deluxe 2 Door Coupe. I need to replace the brakes on it, and although I can do it myself, I'm having a hard time finding the brake shoes anywhere other than eBay, which is not where I want to purchase quality braking components.
I've tried NAPA, PepBoys, Advanced Auto, and although I can find the brake cylinders, I cannot find the shoes. Can anyone recommend a reputable vendor that sells quailty 1950s vintage brake components? Thank you, Sergio |
I remember when I was growing up I could take the shoes down and have them relined. Maybe JCWhitney.com or maybe just brake lining material and do it yourself kit

Check your local truck repair Shop for someone that might do relining in your area....
