99 dodge ram 1500

Hello,
Does any one know if a blower motor is hard to replace on a 99 dodge ram 1500? Or how much it might cost?

Easy to do. The Chiltons manual even has pictures.

You should be able to pic up a junk yard motor for a few hundred bucks. Just make sure you hear it run before they pull it if you can. Some "salvage" yards will give you a warranty with a motor if you have them install it.

It is not that hard to do yourself with some basic hand tools. Air powered tools help out a lot more though. You should be able to do the whole swap in a weekend if you have never done one before. A lot of it depends on what breaks. Also, If the motor is good, before installing it, get some new plugs, wires, cap, rotor, hoses and belts for it.

BLOWER MOTOR

Hey Tim, it's a BLOWER MOTOR, not a MOTOR with a BLOWER.
Salvage yards are iffy on electrical items. Auto Zone has remans, They rae not hard to replace, 3 screws and electric plug.

LOL!

I read it as a blown (junk) motor. My mistake.

Yeah I would by a blower motor new from a parts store, do not get one used. They are fairly simple to replace too....... much easier than a motor.
