What do you have for a motor now? auto or manual? 4wd or 2wd?

Air intake, headers, cat back exhaust and a computer is the easiest and cheapest. after that, injectors, cam, head work, tranny and torque convertor, gears, posi, etc.

Tim summed it up
what about cold air intake?

Thats what I meant by air intake. Throttle body is a good one too along with a throttle body spacer. We need some more info though to really be able to help you out in getting the most out of your truck.

it a 5.7 1500ram 4X4 automatic

Cold air intake, headers, cat-back exhaust, free flow cats, and programmer is where I would start.

Then a look around for an underdrive pulley kit, performance coil packs, posi in the rear axle, shift kit for the tranny.

If you are still wanting more then you will need to dive into the motor with a cam, head work, injectors, and computer tuning.

There is a lot of parts out there and a lot of them are all the same, it's just the name that you are paying for.

I look on summit racing and then hit up the local speed shops as they can usually beat most of the larger companies prices. Personally I like to support the small, local guys as the more you do business with them, the more likely they are to give you a deal on a larger order now and then.

Another good place to go is E-bay. I've been seeing a set of $450 Gibson headers for my V6 Dakota sell for only $200 on there........ brand new.
