I have a '98 Dodge Dakota. It currently has a 3.9 magnum v/6 in it. The engine runs great. I'm just wondering what I would have to do to put a 5.2 magnum v/8 in the truck. I currently have a 5.2. I think it's a '99. Any and all info on this would be appreciated.

 

I have an '94 dakota that was swapped to v8 and the swap was pretty easy just make sure you have the wiring figured out, that is what will bite you, especially on that new stuff. By the way new=1993 or newer.

 

Main thing would be to get the computer reprogrammed for the 318. Similar year Magnaum would bolt right in..
