iac question/problem?
 

hey everyone

I removed and cleaned my throttle body and IAC sensor(gently and as per numerous how-to's)

the truck was idling very well and the previously sticky throttle was less sticky and more smooth. Then - on my way home after driving all day, the check engine light came on and the idle rose to 1500-2000. even after a couple of taps to the gas pedal it would only reduce to about 1000 - better but still not that nice 800 it was at after the cleaning.

Does anyone have any thoughts? did I do something incorrectly or did cleaning it reveal something else?

any help would be greatly appreciated

found it- turns out the blade of the throttle body was out of alignment - mechanic made adjustments and we are on are way
