radiator bracket question
 

hey everyone

my lower radiator bracket on my 2006 dakota has a bit more rust that initially thought - I was going to replace it and wanted to know if anyone else has encountered this as well? if so any tips?

it looks like the bracket would need cut and re-welded once in place. I thought about cutting a new one and splicing it in so I did not have to remove the entire front end -

any ideas would be greatly appreciated

after looking at the new part and the area surrounding it - I think I am going to try to cut the bottom bracket which is rusted then weld or bolt in the new piece - clean up any remaining surface rust and repaint everything
