MOPARS Rule!

Ok i have been born and raised with mopars in my family sense i can remeber dating back to my grandfather. BUT i have never really got into them up until recently so i have a lot of silly questions. What is a AAR Cuda. The ones in the pics i know have 340 6 packs but what is differnet with them from the others?

the aar and the t/a chally were made to race in the trans am circuit in 70. but the rules stated that they had to be a real model. so they put the 340 6 bbl setup on the 340 so they could race the car. aar stands for all american racers, thats the name of the team led by dan gurney who actually raced the cars. but the cars werent able to do well in slolome type racing so after the first year they discontinued participating after several losses. then the gas crunch and epa standards took the 340 six brl option off the option list, making it another half year offering like the a-12 runner and bee.

Cool. I assume they did not do well in the slolome because they don't handle well?

no way man, strictly a straight line car, the body roll was way excessive on cornering.
