We just started a forum devoted to late 50's to early 70's North American 2 door sedans. In just a few days we have 45 members. We need more Mopar guys.

6. No promotions of other related sites. There is no problem with occasionally using the name of other sites or even posting a link to a pertinent thread from another site, but repeatedly referring to other related sites is considered "SPAM" and is not allowed. Please have the decency of NOT putting links to them in your signature, profile or have a post, PM or Chat telling our members to come over to another related site. Such activity is ground for removal from signature, and repeated offenses are grounds for being banned.

 

X2 Just rude to join up and announce your new site. I have my own site and I have said this before that I would be rude and crude for posting a link to my site in my signature.

 

I disagree. To me spam is selling Chinese watches. The forum is free so how can this be hurting anyone?

 

Rude is also changing someones sig without telling them.

 

With no rules on a forum, the site would get out of control.

Unfortuantly you're advertising your website on this site.

That'd be like driving a new Challenger with the local Chevy dealer name all over it.

As the rule states, if there was a specific thread you wanted to link, great. But I wouldn't just sign right up and throw my new website out there..
