Virus alert - UPS

Hey everyone...I wouldn't normally put something like this on the forum, but since so many of us order parts online and get them delivered through UPS....

This one is real folks.

http://www.snopes.com/computer/virus/ups.asp

There is a very nasty computer virus going around. This is just another reminder to always pay attention and exert caution before opening any email attachment. The subject of the email will be "UPS Tracking Number nnnnnnnnn" but if you look at the "From:" address you can see very clearly this is not from UPS. The email will also contain a file attachment with the name "UPSNR nnnnnnnn.zip" where "nnnnnnnn" is a random number.
DO NOT UNDER IN CIRCUMSTANCE DOUBLE-CLICK ON or OPEN THIS EMAIL ATTACHMENT.

Dear customer!
We were not able to deliver postal package which was sent on the 23rd of July in time
because the recipient’s address is not correct.
Please print out the invoice copy attached and collect the package at our department.

Just a heads up, this is mostly a dead thread, check the dates before posting, thanks.

Just another reason I use Linux. Ubuntu, that is. Most of you could use it too, at least for everyday browsing, email, pictures, printing, and even documents. I use Microshaft VERY little. I also just don't worry about trojans, viruses, bugs, anymore
