1966 Plymouth Fury III 4 Door Sedan

Hello all.

Trying to learn as much as I can to start restoring this car. It has a 318 V8 in it and runs great, mostly what it needs is door panels, gauges, the mesh looking weather stripping around the doors. The seats, carpet, body and trim is in surprisingly great condition. It has only 87K original miles, and everything is stock/original (other than the battery).

I have found contradictory information regarding things as simple as the body type. Some places say it is a B body and others say a C body.

I would love to know what model years and other brands have parts that are interchangeable with this car as well because the 4 door sedans seem to be hard to find. For example are there other Fury models or years that I can use for parts and are there Chrysler or Dodge parts that are interchangeable as well?

Thanks for any information anyone can provide!!

The body type should be about the same as a Belvedere.... Weather its classified as a B-Body or a C-Body... Not sure they looked at them that way back in those days...lol Thats been more for later years.
Hope some of this helps? If you wont to post up some photos maybe others could keep a look out of what you are after!!!
Good Luck... Love the old ones... Cheers

I was not 100% sure.... But if I was going to choose one... I would be with you on the C-Body by choice....

Thank you for your response. I, too am thinking it is a c-body. Good to know as I start looking for compatible parts for it. Woke up this morning to a broken throttle return spring so now that has been moved to the top of the list...ugh

Check out Legendary Auto Interiors. They sell interior parts for A,B,C and E body mopars. They may have your door panels.

It's a C body. I believe 1966, I'm certain 1965 is the cutoff year when Chrysler stopped using the 318 Poly engine and introduced the newer 318 LA engine. The transmission I believe is cable shift too. The reason I mention these things is that none of those parts are interchangeable. If you can send a pic of the engine that would help.
