Headers for 1975 360 LA for Dodge M37
Looking for shorty headers with 1 3/4" to handle 500-550 hp, was told shorty headers with 1 5/8" were too small.
Have not found larger primary tube shorty headers, placing in an old 1952 doge M37, and do not have much space. I am hooking up to Edelbrock 60775, heads. Any suggestions ? Thanks Del |
Welcome to the site Del..... Sounds like a great project. I'm going to suggest you find a local guy to see if they can build some custom fabbed Headers to fit you application for the truck. Good Luck... Keep us posted... :)

1 5/8 are small but will cost you less power than you think, shorty headers will hurt you more.

Welcome.
With 1.4 to 1.53 hp/cubic inch we're looking at a high end performance, high rpm engine. To maintain that I'd be wanting 1 7/8"- 2" O.D. long tube, tuned headers. |

for his Dyno testing, may need to buy a cheap pair then pay for custom. |

I asked the same question, but not a lot of guys run mopar engines. I am adding a Holley sniper EFI carb and just bought CVF front pulleys. https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/moparfo...f803c56712.jpg https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/moparfo...0aaf3b2cb8.jpg |
Check with TTI.. They mite have some that might fit the STD truck version.... But Check to see if some of the MIL. stuff is in the way? If you still have it attached.???

I just noticed that piston with 1.457" compression height is for a 4" stroke crank 408 c.i., looks like a cast crank too. Calculates to 9.7 c.r., sound about right?
