Hello Bob here in Florida
Just started working on a 1947 Chrysler New Yorker that is in good shape until you look underneath. Looks like close 100,000 miles from the amount of built up grease and dirt. I am replacing the tie rod ends at hopefully make steering (manual) a little easier. There were no or very damaged dust caps on all 4 ends. It appears that the ends are almost inter-changeable. Any one with experience here?

Have you checked the steering box yet?

The steering box appears to be leaking, but right now I am working on the tie rod ends, steering box is next.

I ment for tightness in the steering.
Beautiful car! |
