New to Mopar

I just inherited my uncle's 1951 dodge coronet cop car. He is getting to old to work cars anymore so I was the only one in the family with the funds and not willing to sell it. However, I did not grow up learning mechanics but smart enough to learn so this is going to be a new journey for me. Will definitely need advice from time to time. Already knocked the first problem off the list and got the car running. It had an issue with the carb and throttle lever. It had a non-stock carb probably from a mid 1940's desoto. It has the gyromatic transmission, so I understand if my uncle just put on what he could find, since I also found it difficult to find the parts needed. Ended up finding the stock carb by pure luck and now it runs beautifully. Now the brakes have gone out most likely due to sitting around for 5 years. Plan on converting to front disc brakes and currently looking up the conversion kit. There are a few questions but will start a different thread for those. But definitely excited get take it cruising.

Welcome, I had to Google 51 Dodge to see what one looks like so I probably won't be much help, but like the car especially the two door wagon version.
