New to Mopar as of today. Tucson, AZ

Hello

My name is Lemorris and as of today my son Charles (17) was given a 64 Valiant!

Now...I am completely new to Mopar...as green as it gets but I'll try to tell you and show you what it is.

2 door 100, but came with trim and stuff to make it look like a 200. Slant six, three on the tree (works) and an extra steering column in case we want to go manual. It's been garaged for the past 6 years and is an original Arizona car so the body is in pretty good shape.

It will be my sons first car and he's thrilled. I work in the Aerospace industry as a computer geek and when I come home I'm one of those car art guys. I haven't looked but I'm sure there's a bajillion on this site....sos you know...here's my site.... http://www.lemorris.com I'm not here lookin for work at all, just doin an intro so you know who I am.

I found this site by googling onto the slant six article on the other board. I'm sure my son and I will learn a lot from all of you.

Thanks for having us,

-Lemorris

Welcome and congratulations, have a look here for a service manual:

I have three boys in their 20's and the time we spent in the garage is priceless, although watching them try their own ideas and fail was painful. My advice to your boy is to fill your library before you fill your tool box. Most importantly listen to the longtimers (oldtimers), we have made every mistake he couldn't even imagine and don't want the next generation to experience them. Good Luck.

welcome.
sometimes you can find a color wiring diagram on ebay
I find these much easier to read.
but the OEM manual is your best friend
