BUt yes i have a 72 Challenger and i am supporting a 440 / 727 auto and im just now finishing up on the aluminum water pump and housing and i have been trying to get it to go on e-85 and im just about there but still need alittle tweeking as im drilling out the squirter tomarrow as iv put the biggest jets and smallest rods that edelbrock has so now its time to mess with the squirter as it runs strong but just a little bit hesatent at first bite but anyway im planning on a complete resto this winter and im sure it will be fun > well i will see if this things going to work this time

Hey DOC
well i know where your at i do get up there a few times a year my taxidermist is up that way off of hooker road he does alot of deer mounts for me ><>< Stockbridge is near brighton/annarbor/jackson about four hours away ,,, if you are in the area sometime get a hold of me cause its a lonly feeling around here being one of just a hand full of MoPaR people , dont know why there isn't more of us here in Michigan but i guess they dont want to own the best and its really expensive to own one hehehe seen a black/silver/orange 2009 challengers here at the dealer they have them sort of facing each other and boy they look awsome but just wish i could afford all of them let alone one of em maybe in the far far away future any way its cool to talk to some one out there in to Mopars

E-85
Hey DOC well what would you like to know about the E-85 ,,, To me it is a awsome fuel and to get between 105 and 110 octane rating is good for the hourse power but there are a few things that you have to do to run this fuel but to me it is well worth it and the smell is far better than gas when i have it running in the shop it smells like a corn factory and no more headachs hehehe any way what ever you need to know i think i should be able to answer >>> there are pros and cons on using this fuel but in the long run i think its well worth it and im never going to go back unless the price goes up to the racing fuel prices <

Hey doc that motor would LOVE that fuel as you will have more then enough compression that it takes and you will have to have a good carb to feed the engine as it does take about 20 to 35% more fuel but the out come is well worth it and if you ever come across a sticker that says e-85 of i use e-85 let me know not to big though want to put it under the hood any way --- the fuel burns colder so you do need to make sure the engine is warm to do any kind of bracket racing ( you get the full power from it when between 150/180 at least what i have came across on my motor and dispite what some people say you will need to go to hotter plugs and it is a very tuneable fuel, you will also have to add around 2 to 5 degrees on the timing wich will help alot of thing anyway here is a web site you can check out if you would like O2 Technology: Nitrous and Fuel Data for All Motorsports this should give you an idea also

Hey DOC im not a expert at e-85 by no means but have tinkered with it on my own car and as far as the cars today im pretty sure it has to do with the ecm on board the cars as it tells the engine what fuel % to run and air but the old style like mine don't have that option unless i make it for that so im sure that is why you cant just fill your tank with one or the other ,,, i have spent all year trying this fuel and like i said i will never go back to regular gas but i have put in the biggest jets and smallest rods along with drilling out my squirter to .053 and have moved the floats up a notch so the bowl stays full hehehe ... if i were to try and put gas in it right know it would probable run really rich if at all run but im sure i will have to do it once in awhile as there are not many stations around here with e-85 .. as far as you go your engine will love it with all the compression it will have. mine is 11-1 and with a new set of heads from edelbrock this Christmas hopfully i should get it up there to at least 12-1/13-1 . i could of went with a bigger carb as i have a 750 edel right know but its what i had to work with without spending way more and its not to hard to adjust this one with the right parts <<<>>> hope you change over cause i know you will fall for this fuel as i have plus when people get behind you they cant figure it out hahahaha until you tell them

guess you have me on that one doc about the ecm but im guessing it has to do with the amount that it tells the injectors to squirt in ? anyway when i get back into town i guess ill start a topic and see where it goes from there k,,,, watching the news tonight and looks like we might get a brief cool front come in around here for a day hope so cause its so humid out and this is making me not want to do anything after work with my car hehehe hope your part of the state is alittle better
