74 KariVan Just Dies

Hey Ihave a 318 3 speed shift kit headers anyhow gen neadle flickers, starts and dies when brake is applied. I realize vacuum or ground but not sure where to start. Nothing wiyh vacuum is obviouse.

You might look for a large black jobber du that looks like a inline gas filter in your vacuum line running to the brake booster. I believe its a check valve that allows flow in only one direction.

I'll cheeck it out but any ideas io the bouncing voltage needle?Brad new battery and fuel pump.

I want to say voltage regulator, but I am at a loss for how you would test it.
