Bob,,Was it The one with the Hemi from Ma. where the guy gave it to him and then died of cancer.. Sad story but very nice car...I just got invited and went to a friend of mines garage. And he showed me a car that Leno came all the way out here to see and tried to buy...He wouldnt sell it to him and Leno had him come to his garage in LA and tried to schmooze him into selling it to him...He showed me the picture of him and Leno at the resturant and the tab for the night which by the way was zero...It was some comedy club that Leno owns....The Car he wants to buy there is only one in this country is 19-- Penn.. I think it was 1916 or 1919 but not sure..It was way cool to look at and the other 15 cars there were all national winners...He must of had millions of dollars worth of cars there...All in an old brick warehouse I didnt even know he had..Go figure..This guy looks as poor as ever and he said he only lets a few people see his collection so I felt honored to be one of them...(No pictures allowed)...Bill

i was able to see a Chrysler turbine car when new, in person. in Wichita , KS. the factory rep keep saying for at lest 7 times "there is NO list to buy one." some years ago our local car club had a video by a guy that helped run the public test program. he said that chrysler would NEVER say what the program cost chrysler.

Whatever year it was that the Mopar Nats moved to Indy I got to see one drive around the parking lot. Incredibly beautiful car for it's day. Sad thing to see the Youtube film of the ones getting crushed

It had to cost millions They said in the article I was reading it cost 50K just for one of the 55 bodies from Ghia..Then they had to put the drive line in it...They had them at the 64-65 Worlds Fair in Flushing NY..I remember alot of the car exhibits... Must be I was destine to be a motorhead even back then..Lol...Bill

My bad on the price it wasnt 50k it was 25K each to have Ghia build the bodies.. which in 63 was a ton of money..And what a waste to demolish/destroy them..Bill

TVLynn Mar 31, 2014 01:06 PM

1963 yes what was a new car $3K 10x the cost..
Jay Leno must have some type of dealer plate to use on his vehicles ?
