318 magnum question
 

Hey guys, i'm venturing into upgrading my engine some...and i have a question. I'f I wanna use pistons that are 0.040 inches wider than the stock ones...i gotta machine the cilinders to make them wider right...?

yes, you will need to have the block "bored out" for a larger size piston.

try not to bore out though it the engine doesnt need it

i was kinda worried about it, because i didnt know if in this country there where any reliable places to do it...but there are...so i think i'm goin ahead with it...thanx guys

well, check you pressure in each cylinder
if it is ok, you shouldnt do it

im curious wat the diff is between the 318 and the 318 mag? could u enlighten me?

yeah i found that out there are 3 dif 318's i think L-A, poly, and mag

poly was the original 318
