73 roadrunner motor questions
 

I have a 73 roadrunner I bought when I was deployed 2.5 years ago. Well I'm sitting on another deployment and trying to save up some money and decide what motor I wanna put in it. I want something that got alot of take off. I dont know if I wanna put a standard transmission in or an automatic.. I am so unsure. They said it was paint ready but when I got home It wasnt paint ready. There is some welds to fix and redo no big deal. Where can I get a good motor for a reasonable price that sounds good. I'm willing to spend up to let's say 9000 ish for the motor?? I also need a transmission. I am undecided if ima color it blue or green.. Finish off the body and paint.... Then send it over to the interior shop to get done..... forward it to the suspension shop for a complete rebuild front to back... Shove it off over to the mechanical shop for a good running 440 with a 727 trans, and some 3.91 rear gear....

But if you like 4 speeds, then do the 4 speed... I like 4 speeds if I don't have to drive the vehicle much... But if I drive them a lot. I prefer the automatic myself at this point in my life.
