Need some advice

Hey guys i want to get some more power out of my 68 RRs stock 383 but im new to this and unsure on the easiest/cheapest way to go about it?? Im planing on using it on the street more than the track but i still want to be quick. If you guys could recommend some parts it would be appreciated manifold intakes/carbs or anything you think will fix my problem an work well with the 383??
cheers for your time.

Without knowing the details on your RR,I would say get a hotter cam and go for a set of headers to start. Let us know about what's on there now, 2 or 4 barrel carb, auto tranny or 4speed,rear end gear ratio(should be on a tag on a center section bolt).

Add a Dual plane aluminum intake and a 750-780cfm carb. Plus a red box ingnition. I don't know what gears you have but going deeper always helps providing you don't do alot of freeway driving.

what mercury don said is right on the money . more info would be good .
good flowing 2 1/2 " exhaust would be good & make a beautifull exhaust note .

Its not enough to make me clear because there are lot of differences in engine performance as well as gear adjustment.
