This is the first time Capps and Wilkerson have faced each other in eliminations. Wilkerson was out of the gate first and had the lead until right around half track when the car started to spin the tires and then the car made a quick left turn and slammed hard into the wall. The body separated from the chassis and it rolled to a stop in Capps lane around 1500 feet. The report from the top end is Wilkerson is out of the car and okay. Capps gets the win.

Beckman is 3 - 1 against Arend in prior events. Arend with the starting line advantage and then Beckman starts to smoke the tires first and pedals it. Arend then starts to smoke the tires and gets over close to the wall, he does a great job driving to keep it off the wall and hold on for the win.

Wilkerson is 5 - 3 against Tasca III in prior events. Tasca with a slight starting line advantage, but Wilkerson has the difference made up by the time they went by the Christmas tree and then runs his quickest pass of the weekend for the win. Tasca with a nice looking pass in a losing effort.

Force Hood is 9 - 3 against Worsham in prior events, 6 - 1 advantage in round one meetings and a 5 - 0 advantage this year. Worsham just spins the tires when he hits the throttle and then pedals it and chatters the tires before he can get it to hook up. By that time Force Hood was well on her way to the win. She will give up lane choice to Wilkerson in round two.

This is the first time Hight and Schriefer have faced each other in eliminations. Schriefer breaks on the burnout and it comes to a stop around 200 feet, Schriefer gets out of the car and Hight has the single. He runs the quickest pass of eliminations and second quickest of the weekend only behind his qualifying time. Robert Hight's incremental times: 60ft-0.902 sec., 330ft-2.310, 660ft-3.285/263.15 mph. Hight will have lane choice over Capps in round two.

Pedregon with his quickest pass of the weekend for the win...Tony Pedregon's incremental times: 60ft-0.924 sec., 330ft-2.338, 660ft-3.312/264.18 mph. Neff with a great looking pass and his quickest pass of the weekend in a losing effort. Mike Neff's incremental times: 60ft-0.925 sec., 330ft-2.355, 660ft-3.331/263.31 mph.

Pedregon lost traction as soon as he hit the throttle and clicked it off, coasted on through the 1000 feet. Hagan will give up lane choice to T. Pedregon in round two.

Force is out of the gate first and starts to shake and pedals it on time. Head got out a little farther and started to shake and pedaled it one time and couldn't chase Force down. Force will have lane choice over Arend in round two.

This was great drag race and what a job the Pedregon team did getting back to the line after the short turn around time and the big blow-up in the last round. Pedregon is 6 - 3 against Arend in prior events and Arend is 1 - 0 against Pedregon in prior final rounds. Pedregon is late getting to the starting line and has problems as soon as the light turned green...apparently with problems prior to the run and just staged the car to make see if Arend made a mistake and he didn't. Arend with his season's quickest pass and career fastest pass for the win. Jeff Arend's incremental times: 60ft-0.931 sec., 330ft-2.349, 660ft-3.303/267.22 mph. This is Arend's second National event win in only three final round appearances.
