Father and Son, Brakes.

Well Saturday could not get here fast enough for me.

My son and I landed over in my Dad's garage at about 10:00 am and got started working. We got the drivers side caliper off and started to remove the rotor when something did not look right.

As it turns out I purchased rotors for a 4x4 not a RWD. Lucky enough though Advance Auto was able to get the right ones on order and will be here tomorrow. Yep that's right on Sunday.... I thought that to be impossible and called back to confirm, sure enough they will be here. So over to the city we go and get started all over again.

We also clear coated his hood scoop project and took it outside into the light. Oh my, is that thing pretty! Metal flake blue on that red truck is going to look nice. The kid really has an eye I think!

Pic's and more tomorrow.

Joe.

Excellent, I have only ever had good things to say about Advanced auto parts, I ordered some stuff from them and when it arrived one item was wrong, it was going to take another few days to get the part in stock, they went out of there way and got the part from O'Reilly's just so i wouldn't have to wait!

The first father/son project that I did with my youngest son, was brakes. I would do the first side and let him do the second side.

That was 10 yrs ago.

Now, when we have a father/son project.......
I do everything the wrong way, according to my son! lol

Well they had the rotors, but things got messed up between not refunding my money and the fact I bought them on line to start with using paypal etc.... long story short I did not get them and hope to tomorrow.

We did get a hole cut through the hood and the hood scoop on. As well as the bumpers painted with the Smart Strip paint stripper.
