Help. I want to do a total body off restore. '65 Dodge Coronet 440 2dr Htp
I just bought a '65 Coronet 440 2dr HT, 318 with an automatic. I want to totally take it down to the frame and restore it piece by piece. I'm really a newbie at this and am wondering if there is anything written about how to go about it. I'm really an amateur but I've got the time, the patience, a desire to learn and some money. Your suggestions?:)

Cant really do a body OFF as its a uni body car, but it will still work on a rotisserie, depending on how 'correct' or detailed you want the restoration to be... There are books writen on the subject for sure. I dont know the names of any of them tho, I am sure someone has thoughts on good reading material for it. Pics, history of car, etc are always welcomed...

all so check out the guys that restore the inspection paint dabs on the bottom. thats some wild stuff.

The most important thing I have found is be organized with parts removal. You'll need space and shelves for everything you will remove. Take a picture of the area before and after removal. Put the piece in a clear bag with the picture or written description in the bag as marker on the outside of the bag will get smudged by greasy hands.

you could always bring the car to me! lol im just over in the east portland area.

Nothing like digging up a thread that has been dead for most of six years.

Digging
Yeah. Just funny to dig one up and actually comment on it constructively since I just went through it. Was just wondering if the guy ever finished the restore or. If he's still at it or if he gave up.
