NEED HELP REMOVING DRIVESHAFT!
hey i have a 1971 roadrunner, and i am trying to figure out how to remove the driveshaft from the the transmission, i am pulling the engine out, and the only thing is removing the driveshaft to take out the engine and trans....if you have any possible solutions of how to remove the driveshaft let me know! thanks

It should just simply slide out ...towards the rear of the car.

ok...how does it slide out? sorry im not too familiar, with taking out a driveshaft, so the front end of the shaft should slide right out of the transmission? without unbolting anything in the back by the axle? clarify if you dont mind!

There should be two straps that hold the drive shaft to the rear pinion shaft. These are two straps that are helds on by two bolts each.
The green shaft bottom left is the drive shaft, the blue part it attatches to is the pinnion shaft. The strapps should be on the pinnion shaft side around the U-Joint. With those straps off, you should be able to pull the drive shaft foreward enough to get it out, and drop it down. Then you just slide it out of the tranny. j |
Is the driveshaft disconnected from the rear end ?
