Removing the cam

On a 1967 Plymouth GTX 440, can the cam be removed through the front grill, or does the engine have to come out?

Do you just pull the radiator or do you also have to pull the condenser? I am not sure on this but from what I have seen it looks real close to not coming out because of the condenser, but that may depend on the setup under the hood.

Commando you have to pull the Rad: and the condenser and anything else that looks to be in the way you wont be able to turn the cam to get it out unless you do so ... the cam is appox; 18 to 19 inches long so you might even have to take the grill out as to not nick the cam also make sure the hood latch mech: is out of the way

If you were to pull it out of my B-body, you have to pull the radiator and condensor, as there is still more room before the grill, But it still has to be able to come all the way out.

hey doc it can be done as i have changed cams right at the track to try them out and pulled just the rad; but my worries with friends is im always looking out so they don't nick them in anyway as you and i both know it can ruin the day with a gouge in your cam but he will have to remove the ac condensor

p.s you shouldn't have to remove the lines to the condensor but move it as far forward as possible k
