Removing trim around vinyl top
Hello all, I need to remove the chrome trim around the vinyl top and remove the trim around the windows to prep the car for some body work and paint. I have absolutely no idea how to do this as i have never done this before. I don't see any obvious clips or anything. Help please...

Fury, the chrome is held on with some tension clips that need a special tool to release. You slide the tool beneath the chrome (Flat against the glass), catch the clip with the corner of the tool, pull slightly to release the tension while lifting on the chrome. If you've never done this, it's VERY tricky, and you can easily break your glass. Even worse is if the chrome has been removed before and there's been urethane or something applied to help seal the window. Now you have to cut thru it to find the clips.
If you can find someone to do it for you, there's a good chance it would be worth it.
If you're going to leave the top off, and the car has never been painted, the factory vinyl roof will most likely go all the way under the glass. I'd plan on taking the windows out to work those channels while you're at it, even if you do plan on putting the top back. The old vinyl has a tendency to trap and hold moisture there, causing rust and leaks.
