Replacement wiring harness
Anyone know where I can lay hands on a new wiring harness for my 89 W-150 4x4? The big overhaul will be starting this year, I need parts!

not sure where you could find that harness. Maybe look through Hemmings or MCG.
I would just find another one at the salvage yard and test it very good, checking every wire and connection. If something doesnt measure up, then repair. Sometimes you can find low milage pickups in the salvage, especially late eighties/early nineties. |
ron francis wire works has an awesome mopar harness.

Dont do a painless
"Painless" definitly not! my son fried the harness in the 1st 73 Charger SE and I installed a painless it took up most of a 2 week vacation, but in fairness I drink when I work in the garage.:D

a wiring harness will cost you 400-700 bucks, the only Co making a Mopar drop in, plug in, fit only sells through Legendary.

I would hunt one in a junk yard. The entire harness will cost very little, though it will probably take several hours to remove without damaging it.
I remember buying the shell to a '70 Challenger RT and slowly turning it into a drivable car; the wiring harness, dash assembly, steering column and instruments took about half a day to install. It took more than two days to remove said items from the donor car. |
www.kwikwire.com is a nice system I used for a street rod and it is inexpensive all wires are labeled and a new fuse box with ignition cut off built in security

Which harness? if engine, what size?
