switching from lean burn

The engine I am buying currently has lean burn, and I want to make sure what I need to do to convert from it. If anyone can help I would appreciate it.

Google it for info:

It's been a long long time since I've screwed with any of this stuff, but I think you'll need the following, at the minimum:

A different "non lean burn" distributor and spark module, and carb.

You might have to fiddle with EGR and plug it off. Bear in mind that in the U.S. this is illegal, although in many states, like Montana and Idaho, nobody enforces the regulations. You might run into problems in places like WA state, CA, and AZ, which require smog "certification" on some cars before licensing.

Not long ago a friend had a '70 3/4T chev pu in Arizona, and was required to restore ALL the smog junk that he and I had so delightfully removed in about '71!!!

Thanks, I couldn't remember from when I did it on my 400 if I replaced the distributor because of this or for a different reason. Nobody will even notice as I am swapping motors.
