need help to verify story my father told me

my father passed away 7 yrs ago before he died he gave me a pewter tie tack of the famous roadrunner bird. he told me that back in 67 or 68 ( i can't remember) he purchased a roadrunner and satellite off the showroom floor in las vegas. the sale person removed this tie tack from his tie and handed to my father. has anybody ever encountered one on these? know somebody that has one? know the story behind these?

Havent ever seen one or heard about it. I am not sure what the car is either. If it was a Superbird, which is from '70 but those are famous.

I would guess as well. I never paid much attention to it all. My sister once got me a RR bird pillow as a joke

Google ..................Plymouth Road Runner tie clasp and you get all kinds of stuff. Here's one

However, much of this stuff "now" is not genuine, that is, in the day, the bird was copyright by Warner brothers.
