Hi, i'm new here and also looking at a 1964 Plymouth Sport Fury, i am hoping someone can tell me alot more about this car, the way it sits right now it is near perfect, has a 440 in it, auto, guy is asking $19,000 for it, all it needs is a windshield which it comes with and a wiring harness, also included, wondering if the wiring harness under dash is a big job or not and what other things to look at, its all steel body has no bondo in it, all metal and straight, all chrome is near perfect. What body style is this? Just hoping other owners can give me lots of advice and what i need to look at and where any trouble spots are on it such as frame or anything else, thanks and i hope i get lots of advie here.

 

if yuo know the usual rust spots crawl under it during the day and stop at dusk and check out the lights and gages

 

If you know someone with a lift, or can take it to a local mechanic and pay for some air time you can see everything underneath, bring a putty knife to scrape away heavy deposits of grease and dirt to check for rust holes. If you're spending that type of cheese on something you still need to wrench on, then you need to be sure it is "rust free." You're body style would be a b-body.

 

19000 is a lot, especially since it doesnt have the original motor in it
