1974 Dodge Dart Restoration Tips

Hey guys, First off I am a proud owner of a 1974 Dodge Dart I bought it for 400 dollars no surface rust then.... Well I'm 15 and Have a job that makes me able to restore a car. But anyway i'll get to the point. Well my interior and exterior are rough. I was going to do a engine swap from a 318 to a 360 and I was picking the engine up for 350 dollars. The guy says it runs and i hope it does but if not ill take it because i plan on either fixing it up if it doesn't run but if it does ill add performance parts later on down the road. But my real question is about my exterior and interior. First my exterior, My exterior is becoming rusted and i plan on taking it to maaco for body repairs and Paint just because i cant afford a 2,000 dollar paint job. But I lately feel like i can't do it I feel like i'm watching it rust away the interior is also rough.
Well i won't keep this going to long but i would appreciate some positive feedback and tips.

Get out the sand paper and put some primer on it. Maaco does OK, although they had to paint my Coronet twice. They painted it the wrong color the first time..
Good luck with the project. I would see if the 318 runs first !!

I'd do what TV said..sand and primer it yourself. The previous owner of my car took it to Maaco and they apparently just taped off the windows and sprayed it...the paint is no more than 6 years old and is chipping away and rust is coming out through...
