318 noisy valve train

newbie here from Australia.

my 1980 V8 Chrysler with its 318 has had some mild mods done to it. A 268H comp cam, edelbrock performer intake, edelbrock 500 thunder carby, performance electronic ignition and extractors and a complete 2.5 inch dual exhaust. 727 trans with stage 1 shift kit and a 2300rpm stall. Goes well.
my question to you knowledgeable folk is between say 2-3000rpm it’s tappy,I’ve read folks call it a sewing machine noise. Not overly loud, just annoying.
engine has standard bottom end and heads. In fact the heads have never been off. When cam was installed in went new standard length lifters and pushrods (7.5inch) and of course standard rockers and shafts. Now I’ve read on comp cams website that without adjustable rockers you will
get valve train noise! Surprise surprise. So I bought adjustable rockers and shafts from a 273 V8 and will install next year now once I get spare .
now I cannot find any info on just what length pushrods I need to use? Obviously must be cup
and ball and like now must be 5/16 in diameter but what length? As I’ve never done this before I will hopefully get a friend to help with the adjustments or I believe it’s called lash?

im hoping someone can point me in the right direction of pushrod lengths. Surely someone has this same combo?

I did send an email to comp but nothing.
