Wife informed me that funding my radical cuda 340 engine upgrade will have to wait as we have limited funds at the moment.

In the meantime, I have purchased the following items and was thinking about using them as a pseudo build for the weak 318 2bbl it currently has, that runs good.

Holley 650 dp with vac secondary
Edelbrock performer 2176

I was also thinking about decking the 318 hds 0.035", and performance grinding for larger 1.88" intake valves.

I don't want to cam it because I won't be using said cam in the 340. My hope is that all of the above, especially higher CR, will wake this motor up. Very little work and cost to do so anyway.
