Does anyone have a picture of their 340 that might show the correct location of the timing pointer (tab)

the tab is casted on the timing chain cover like a 318, 273. 360. 318 wide block

Oh you got to be kidding???

I see a bracket hanging down near the bottom of the balancer with an open hole on the end as if there is something missing.

Are you saying I should be looking for the pointer on the timing chain cover?

Where on the timing chain cover should I look?

Oh my, I can't believe this no wonder I can't find one anywhere

Oh man, unbelievable!
I guess is kinda goes without saying.... My timing is way off! LOL

Dont forget to pull the vac line off the distributor and plug it to set the base timing

10 deg BTDC is spec I think correct me anyone if its not - good place to start anyway
