426 Hemi with rear distributor?
 
Just curious if anyone has heard of a 426 hemi with the distributor at the rear of the engine?

If the water pump is in the back too, you just have to rotate the motor 180 degrees.:lol:

Maybe they're thinking of the first generation Hemi which had the distributor at the back and at it's largest production size was 392 cubic inches.

In the early 60's Oldsmobile had an experimental Hemi with the Distributor in the back of the engine.... Maybe that is what you are thinking of.. It never made it into production, Just a couple prototype cars so years later.
But as far I am aware of.. 426 Hemi's had the distributor up front....

Only Gen 1 Hemi's had the distributor in the back. 426 Hemi's were a part of the 2nd generation hemi.
