440 Approx Value??
 

I am putting togeather my 1978 440-4 to sell. It came out of a motorhome with approx 38K miles. The motor had virtually no wear on it, so I took it to the machine shop & had it hot tanked, machine honed & cleaned, then I had the crank checked for wear & polished. I put in new main bearings, rod bearings & rings. Valves were lapped & the engine is being put back togeather with all new seals. I installed an Edelbrock performer cam & lifter set and a true roller timing set. I don't have the exhaust manifolds, carb, water pump or other appurtenance. I am trying to get an approximate value on this motor. Thanks, Tom

Start off with 200 bucks for the core and add what the machine shop charged and what you have spent so far.

Maybe 12 years ago I sold a 440 125K miles, all apart but cleaned. NO new parts for $750
