440 tune up used in 1959 F-250 3/4 Ton

i recently bought a 1959 F-250 3/4 ton
it came with a 440 engine with 440 header and a 727 tranny.

i have a repair manual but its mainly a rebuilding overhaul type of book
i would like to do a tune up on this engine.

but lack the specifics for this
can some one post the basic parameter for this
spark plug gap
are the valves self adjusting if not the gap
spark plug order
Degrees of Top dead center at idle when i use th timing light.
anything else i might need or missed
thanks for any help
if you need more details just let me know
i look forward to working with you guys.

1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2 firing order
.035 gap for electronic ignition
valves are non adjustable
around 8 btdc that should get it running then tune buy ear,
what yr is the engine? well if its in a 1959 or a f-250 its not stock,

what you have is an early production 76 440. and trans, the 6-a # on the trans means 76. the a measn the assembly plant which was lynch road. the block was cast sept. 15th of 75 and usually the build time between casting and production was 3-4 weeks.I concur w/ all 66 furys info for your tune up.

i forgot to ask what spark plugs i would need
thats why a repair manual would be so useful
