67 Plymouth GTX clone rear end swap completed!

Well, I told you guys I was going to swap from a 3:91 sure grip in a 741 case to a 3:55 posi in a 742 case and now it is done. I am very happy with the results. It appears that I have saved about 400+ rpm on the freeway, and the "off the line" performance is not noticeably different. The old tapered bearings had to be cut off the axels with a torch. The new green bearings went on nicely and do not require any adjustment. The whole exercise only took about 2 hours with two of us working on it. Here are a few pics. Oh, by the way, I know the underneath looks like schizzle, so while it was on the rack, I took a few hours and cleaned it up and put a couple of coats of satin black on. Looks damn good now!
